Notification by Mr Rogers
During Term 3 we will be taking students to the snow.
The four dates are currently set as (Fridays only):
Week 5: 20th August
Week 6: 27th August
Week 7: 3rd September
Week 8: 10rd September
Students can come on all of them, some of them, one of them, or none of them.
The first one will be for seniors only (Week 5). After that it is the intention to take as many students as possible to the snow. There are minimum numbers and if there is not enough interest we will just take those keen on the day that best suits.
Estimated cost will be $75.00 (confirmed next term). So start saving now, or you can start an automatic payment at Student Services from now on if that makes it easy.
I would also like to inform parents of Year 10 students to be aware that a physical education camp will be running in Term 4. An automatic payment can also be set up. Costs for this will be posted at a later date.
Congratulations to:
Matthew Lyttle, 2nd Year 7 Boys
Pouri Paul, 2nd Year 8 Boys
Kaitlyn Laird, 1st Year 8 Girls
Parents / caregivers of all students (Years 7—13) are invited to a report evening on Wednesday, 23 June in the school hall.
This is an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with each of their teachers.
Teachers will be available from 4.30pm through to 8.00 pm. Teachers will have a tea break between 6 and 6.30pm.
31st May & 1st June
Read about it here!
On Friday 22nd May, Putaruru College students and staff alike paraded wearing mufti and wacky hairstyles to raise money for the Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance Helicopter. Altogether $581.00 was raised by a mufti-collection and $132.30 by a sausage sizzle and cake stall.
Thanks to Nikki Wood, Year 13 for organising this day.
